The greatest asset of a Faculty of Sciences is its cultural and scientific capital and its ability to generate unlimited resources in a wide range of areas. Regarding the internationalisation of the university area, we realize that with the arrival of foreign students and teachers, as well as the departure of students and teachers from FCUP, there is an increase in the possibility of research and knowledge. Moreover, the exchange between cultures, languages, and many other issues is elevated. These strategic partnerships focus in particularly on the academic and research fields: joint or co-operative degrees, teaching cooperation, and student mobility in all cycles of studies.

The Faculty of Sciences, through the University of Porto, has developed international partnerships with other institutions in the areas of teaching and research that encourage mobility, especially of students, thus enabling an exchange of enriching experiences from a scientific, cultural, and human perspectives.
