Parking
- The car parking spaces available at FCUP are allocated to professors, technicians and researchers, and there are also some spaces reserved for external companies that operate at FCUP.
- Car parking spaces are allocated on an academic year basis and in two phases, one annual and one per semester.
- Users can express their interest by filling in the appropriate form in the parking module of FCUP's InfoSciences system (logging in required), and also check their personal parking situation. Applicants are notified by email of the opening of the allocation process.
- As there are not enough parking spaces to meet the needs of all applicants, it is not possible to allocate parking spaces to students.
- However, any member of the FCUP community with limited mobility, including students, will always be guaranteed access and use of the parking areas, under specific conditions for each case, or according to the person's disability. Students in this situation should contact the Student Support Office.
- Occasional access by third parties must be authorised in advance by the Board. Requests from departments must be submitted to the FCUP Board by or on behalf of the respective directors, and with their knowledge.
- The terms of use, modalities, allocation criteria and pricing can be found, after authentication, in the Parking and Garage Access and Use Regulations of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, approved by the Dean of FCUP on 23 July 2021 and amended on 8 July 2022.
Reporting faults and incidents
- Professors, technicians and researchers can report faults in infrastructure and equipment by requesting support from SIMS through the proper form on InfoSciences, or by asking staff in the departments to do so. Any anomalies or malfunctions in the fire safety equipment and systems in the buildings, and in the safety of the laboratories, must be reported specifically on the safety form. Other users must report these situations to the building's porter.
- Computer breakdowns and problems must be reported to SGISI through the proper form in InfoSciences. If you cannot access InfoSciences, you can send your question by e-mail to ci@fc.up.pt , and please remember to indicate your user login. You will then be contacted by email to schedule the procedure.
- Other incidents can be reported to the building's porter.
