Objectives

To consolidate the knowledge that sustains the use of recombining genetic markers in the forensic context.

Learning outcomes and competences

Master the proprieties and differences in mode of transmission between recombining genetic markers (autosomal and X-chromosomal).

Understand the advantages and limitations of distinct recombining markers in specific forensic scenarios.

Be able to recognize and solve problems arising from the simulatenous analyis of recombining markers.
