Objectives

To empower the students with theoretical and practical knowledge in the following topics:

- Methodology of epidemiological research

- Methodology of clinical research

- Methodology of laboratory animal research

- Scientific communication

- Bibliographic management in research

- Basic notions for the elaboration of scientific projects for application for funding

Learning outcomes and competences

This curricular unit intends to prepare students to apply the most appropriate methodologies for their scientific work in the various areas of Clinical Nutrition (clinical, epidemiological, animal models, and/or basic research), as well as to prepare the students to understand and interpret methodologies used by other researchers. This unit also pretends to prepare students for the oral and written communication of their scientific results. This unit also provide essential competences for the elaboration of scientific projects and to apply for funding.
