Objectives
Students at the end of the curricular unit should be able to appreciate and apply ethical and deontological principles, in a professional general and specific perspective, in clinical and scientific activity. The student should be able to look at ethics as inseparable from the professional integrity, envisioning not only the own (professional) but also the wearer, and the institution that directly or indirectly engaged in activity, and considering the norm and the moral, ethical, legal and religious.
Learning outcomes and competences
The contents include different perspectives of ethics and deontological view, in several areas of clinical nutrition and related research, providing an absolute knowledge of the matter that will support the professional activity and attitude.
Provide the student with the knowledge to act consciously and with autonomy, and thus take responsibility and accept the consequences of his actions and clinical and scientific decisions in an ethical and deontological point of view, opening to respect to himself the others and the society.
The lectures provide exposure and interrogation of the contents. The workshop facilitates the discussion of issues and exposure perspectives of peers, notably in matters that given its nature may be the result of controversy, helping the awareness of the presence / divergent understandings that should be considered / respected in professional activity.
