Objectives

Develop and enhance capabilities for responding to contemporary design demands. Identify the areas of intervention of design, engineering and management. Explore new ideas and develop creativity and technical skills through practical experience relating it to industry and user requirements.

Learning outcomes and competences

Use appropriate supports to the projectual process; deepening the approach to cooperative projets with companies and parallel development project; develop skills at the level of cooperative projection and interdisciplinary; know how to identify and integrate in the project process points of management contribution and engineering.

Working method

Presencial

Program

Elaboration of projects of industrial design, medium and long duration, with an increasing degree of complexity and demand on the latter of which will converge the contribution of other Curricular Units in terms of development and evaluation.

Mandatory literature

Emotional design ; Donald A. Norman

Teaching methods and learning activities

The teaching methodologies involve multiple projectual requests, promoting in students effective interaction capabilities; the monitoring and collaboration between teachers will allow specific and transversal approaches when necessary and pertinent.

The approach strategies will focus on the production of designed artefacts and in the formatting of information necessary for that purpose, as well as the way to perform its transfer to different participants in the process.
