Introduction to (audio) visual narratives theory and history.
Motivate different methods of analysis. Accentuate a critical and contextualized reading. Statement of an individual and creative discourse.


Learning outcomes and competences

Understand the importance that visual narratives have in the contemporary culture and its possibilities as a comunication device.

Working method



Forms and structures of visual storytelling.
Generic conventions in cultural context and diverse history.
Narrative theory and film history.
Illustrated narrative and sequential image as context, metaphor, identity and fiction.
Reference, appropriation, citation and adaptation as imaginary experience, collective and individual.
Time and direction in the narrative process.
