— Produce prototypes, models and projects in the field of broad communication design, applied to the market and the respective needs of its public.

Learning outcomes and competences

Suitability for the organization of visual information generating an expanded field of knowledge centered on the images capable of forming an intellectual product of wisdom .

Troubleshooting information in the public space in the field of culture and market .

Being able to develop sustainable and functional , deployed from original concepts and visual communication programs from which arise messages , media and visual devices into a face to which the design is feasible as an ethical contract with society .

Adapt and endure the process of visual design to an operational structure , as well sequenced : Understand and define a problem of communication through tangible goals and overcome their limitations . Observe and know the users on the ground . Synthesize and determine the alternatives for solving a need . Prototyping with sketches , drawings , models or a storyboard . Perform and produce visual communication . Test and repair solutions . Validate and implement visual devices or systems .

Program

Survey , file and document production of inter - media devices , arranged in narrative and thematic series , giving visibility to contemporary identities .

Production of research projects theory and practice , developed from differentiated and capable of producing an update and an upgrade of traditional dimension of design communication approaches , introducing a new field of reflection , which we called the Design Document Image .

Developing research projects applied in contexts of visibility and operation templates and visual communication systems through media devices , exhibitions , editorial , educational and literacy fronts .

Creating repertoire founded on technological and creative procedures related to the preparation , formatting , production and breakdown of a visual narrative that integrates image and word in a comparable manner in visual devices structured along functional and operational standards for a universal user . This program should be targeted and optimized for the purpose of resolving an information problem , description and documentation of facts and social realities . This same repertoire will result to formatting content and prototypes that will support the Proposed Research Project ( IPP) , for the second year of the course curriculum .

Eligibility for exams

— Attendance and participation in class activities;

— Practical work;

— Final written research work.

Calculation formula of final grade

The final evaluation will consider the following factors:

— Attendance and participation in class activities 20%;

— Practical work 60%;

— 20% final written research work.

Students will be assessed at the end of the first semester quantitatively, from 0 to 20, although the final grade of the year is not a reflection of an arithmetic average.

Observations

The classrooms must be adapted according to the number of students per class. In the case of the Project UC, we will divide the classes into two parts: the first will be of theoretical exposition and the second will be of a more practical nature. The model will be suitable for the development of the UC program, remote or in person, and for the intended learning results. Three projects will also be developed during the academic year, duly monitored, based on these two teaching models.
