Objectives

To present the participant students the fundamental principles of the Sport Manager activity

To motivate the students who are interested in this area of knowledge to follow their studies in the Sport Management main option

To comprehend the basic knowledge that can support the understanding about the Portuguese sport system

To be aware of the basic theoretical presuppositions of communication, marketing, sport events management, sport projetcs and sport policies.

Eligibility for exams

Approval in the discipline by means of a final exam performed in the respective regular seasons (1st and/or 2nd), according to the FADEUP evaluation standards rules issued by the Faculty Pedagogical Board.

Calculation formula of final grade


The approval in the discipline in both regular seasons (1st  from 3/1 to 3/2 of 2023 and 2nd from 22/5 a 23/6 of 2023) can be achieved through a final examination, in accordance with the evaluation rules defined by FADEUP’s Pedagogical Council.

To be approved at the 1st season students should conduct a final exam in which they must get a score equal or above 9.5. If they do not get a positive grade, they can attain a 2nd examination in which they also need to obtain a minimum of 9.5. The final grade will be rounded till the units.
