Objectives
1.To interpret through critical understanding the major issues of aesthetics of sport.
2.To understand and develop an aesthetic attitude which facilitates access to aesthetic experience, as well as its reflection and analysis.
3. To understand the aesthetic nature of the sporting body and movement.
4. To identify and understand the relationship between aesthetics and ethics.
5. Develop and consolidate research skills in aesthetics of sport.
Learning outcomes and competences
The course contents are adequate with the objectives set out because it enables the students to understand the importance of knowing the Aesthetics of Sport in order to a more extended and consolidated comprehension about sport as a cultural phenomenon.

Teaching methods and learning activities
The classes are developed using the methods according to nature and specificity of the contents. The following forms are used: expository, seminar and discussions.
In what concerns means, it is preferred the use of technologies of information and communication, not neglecting, however, traditional features such as audio, video, photography and the printing ones (books and periodicals).
