Calculation formula of final grade

The evaluation is divided in two parts – one practical and another theoretical. In both evaluation moments the student can not have a final mark lower than 8,0 points.

The evaluation is composed of the following parts:

• Practical: continuous evaluation and two defined moments: 1^st) between the 13^th and the 17th of April of 2015; 2^nd) between the 25th and the 29th of May;
• Practical sessions correspond to 75% of the final mark.

Theoretical component: a writing test will be performed on the 18^th of May, between 18h and 19h, on rooms 1 and 9. Its value corresponds to 25% of the final mark.

• The final mark is obtained by calculating the weighted average of the practical and theoretical tasks.

If the student could not reach the minimum mark (8,0 points) on the writing test, he should perform a second test. This does not apply to the practical evaluation component.

Final mark – mean 8 points (minimum), according to “Regulamento Geral para a Avaliação dos Discentes das Unidades Curriculares Estudos Práticos I, II, III e IV”.

Classification improvement

When justified, the student has the possibility of performing an extra evaluation moment, according to that referred previously in “calculation of final grade”.
