Objectives
1. To provide students with skills to fit, educationally and scientifically, the education, training and preparation of practitioners in youth training and their competitive frameworks;
2. To specify and qualify the pedagogical role of coaches and other educational subjects in the youth training;
3. To provide students with knowledge and skills in designing, implementing and assessing sport developmental projects in institutions specifically oriented to the long-term athlete development;
4. To foster students with the ability to understand and solve problems in new situations or in wide multidisciplinary contexts for the exercise of professional activity in youth training.
Learning outcomes and competences
The program aims students to learn pedagogical axioms that guide sports, particularly in what youth training is concerned. The contents to be learnt are related to current issues, and others revisited, in Sport Pedagogy with a focus on the emerging problems in today's society in order to provide coaches with conceptual skills that help them to understand and reflect about the current problems of practice and the information derived from this research field.

Eligibility for exams
- Presence of at least 75% of the classes taught.
- theoretical component 50% and practical component 50%.
For final approval in the curricular unit, the student must obtain a minimum final classification of 10 points.
Students must complete the practical component of the course, so attendance at 75% of the lectures and the realization of the tasks/work in the classroom or online on the moodle platform are the compulsory criteria.
Calculation formula of final grade
The formula of evaluation: theoretical component 50% and practical component 50%.
For final approval in the curricular unit, the student must obtain a minimum final classification of 10 points.
