Rosa Carla Gomes da Silva (RS) - 2022 to present - Assistant professor at Porto Nursing School; Post-doctorate in citizen science (2023); Ph.D. in Nursing (2022); Specialist in Nursing of the Mental Health and Psychiatric; Postgraduate in Clinical Supervision, and Master’s in nursing.
RS is a member of the staff member of the Portugal Centre for Evidence-Based Practice: A Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Centre of Excellence (PCEBP); Associate editor of the JBI Evidence Synthesis.
The main areas of investigation are mental health and older adults, e.g.: mild cognitive impairment and dementia, non-pharmacological intervention (such as cognitive stimulation, robotherapy). She also has expertise in the areas of open and citizen science, as well as secondary review methodologies. 2020 to 2022 - Junior researcher at the Health Sciences Research Unit: Nursing (UICISA: E), of the Nursing School of Coimbra (ESEnfC)), having been responsible for coordinating the strategic axis of UICISA: E with regard to Public and patient involvement and Outreach of the best knowledge to Society. 2012 to 2020 - Assistant professor at the Health Sciences Institute of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Porto); collaborated in several curricular units in the context of the degree in nursing, specialization course in mental health and psychiatric, and in the Master's degree in Gerontology and Geriatric Care. 2003 to 2012 - RS worked as a general care nurse in clinical surgery settings.
