International Cooperation Programmes at the U.Porto

Education & Training Programmes

Aiming to offer a broader range of mobility opportunities, the U.Porto actively participates in several EU and non-EU educational & training programmes, making them available to U.Porto's academic community.

The U.Porto has actively participated in the old EU Programmes such as the Lifelong Learning Programme (Erasmus, Grundtvig, Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci), Tempus, EduLink, AlBan, Atlantis, EU-Canada...

The Erasmus Mundus Programme, in which the U.Porto coordinates 9 projects and participates in other 37 as partner institution (detailed information on the U.Porto’s Erasmus Mundus website), despite having finished in 2013, continues its activities to implement the latest mobility flows, envisaged until 2017.

Following the restructuring carried out by the European Agency EACEA, at the level of European programmes for education & training, the U.Porto currently participates in the Erasmus+ Programme, which is implemented jointly with the Erasmus+ National Agency.

Other non-EU programmes in which the U.Porto is or was involved are Ciência Sem Fronteiras, Programa de Licenciaturas Internacionais, Intra-ACP Mobility Scheme, ASEM-DUO or Leadher, among others.

In relation to the cooperation with the USA, U.Porto is Fulbright Regional Center and also Focal Point for the University of California, Berkeley’ Summer Sessions.
