Vítor Manuel Oliveira Silva. He has a Biology and Geology degree (2004) with a specialization in Geology for Teaching. He was a teacher of Natural Sciences, Lab Techniques and Environmental Studies at the secondary education level and also of Socio-cultural Animation, Society, Technology and Science, Anatomy and Physiology in youth and adult education courses.

He is responsible for several traineeships in the areas of Health. He developed or participated in several actions of science communication directed to young audiences but also to the public at large, and is currently responsible for studies aimed at assessing the impact of such programs.

He is since 2006 coordinating the U. Porto's Junior University, being particularly responsible for the evaluation of its activities, subject on which he has already presented several communications in national and international conferences.

Recently, in 2014, he was one of the promoters of an exhibition related to the International Year of Crystallography in a subway station of the city and in 2015 he helped to organize a weekend of activities in the City Park related to the International Year of Light. In 2017 he organized the 15th edition of the U.Porto's exhibition.

He has been doing educational materials on Biology and Geology targeted to students of the secondary level.
