Target Group
Foreign citizens, aged 16 and over, for whom Portuguese is a foreign language.

Duration of the Course
60 hours

Levels
Students will be divided in twelve levels:

• Breakthrough - A1.1
• Breakthrough - A1.2
• Waystage - A2.1
• Waystage - A2.2
• Threshold - B1.1
• Threshold - B1.2
• Vantage - B2.1
• Vantage - B2.2
• Proficiency - C1.1
• Proficiency - C1.2
• Mastery - C2.1
• Mastery - C2.2

The candidates’ level will be assessed from the information given in the Application Form and from the results of a diagnostic test. During the course, adjustments can be made, following either the lecturers’ suggestion or the students’ request.

ECTS credits
Students who successfully conclude the course will be awarded 4 ECTS credits.
* Please note that only university students or graduates can be awarded ECTS credits.

Please note: Applicants from non-European Union countries must send a copy of their visa, without which the application will not be considered.

Material needed during the Course
Students will receive a folder containing photocopied and original texts, as well as evaluation forms (self- and hetero-evaluation) with grammatical exercises.

Certificate
A certificate will be issued at the end of the course to all students who attended the course assiduously and achieve the objectives proposed.

Fee
The registration fee of ¤ 340 (non-refundable and non-transferable) must be paid until 26th June 2013.
Please note: Apart from the tuition fee, students may also be required to pay school insurance in the amount of ¤ 2 if they haven't paid it yet.

Additional Information
• Accommodation: FLUP does not provide accommodation. Upon arrival, students will receive information on the possibilities of private accommodation (at reasonable prices). To receive an updated list of private accommodation in the city of Oporto, please send us an e-mail.
• Meals: Students can have their meals in the Faculty of Arts’ snack bar as well as in several university canteens (at reasonable prices).

Registration takes place online through the Computer Services website at http://www.letras.up.pt/gi/ under the option Candidaturas.
During the registration process, candidates may opt for payment by credit card or at the Faculty’s Treasury Office on the 1st Floor.
