Mini-course "A brief introduction to homological algebra"

This mini-course is held in the framework of the Erasmus/Lifelong Learning Programme agreement between the University of Porto and the Izmir Institute of Technology.

Audience: all mathematics students in the master/phd level and undergraduate students with background in linear algebra (M142, M143) and algebra (M241).

Contents:
1. Categories and functors.
2. Tensor products.
3. Exactness of functors.
4. The functors Hom and Tor.
5. Projective, injective and flat modules.
6. Complexes and projective and injective resolutions
7. Ext and Tor.
8. The Long Exact Sequences.
