Details
Summary: In SmarText4Estore revolutionary high-performance Smart Textiles for Energy Storage based on hybrid supercapacitor technology will be developed. The main advantages are the conjugated enhanced electrochemical performance, flexibility, lightness, safety and
long lifetime. These unique smart textiles aim on responding to the need for safer and cleaner energy storage technologies, boosted by the escalating growth of the market of wearable electronics. Several strategies will be pursued starting from advanced textile
electrodes design through the incorporation of hybrid carbon-metal oxide nanomaterials with fine-tuned properties until engineered and scalable design of new hybrid SC textile configurations with optimized energy/power density. Finally, the most efficient textile SCs
will be coupled with wearable electronic devices towards a fully-functional prototype. SmarText4Estore is a multidisciplinary project involving Nanochemistry, Nanotechnology, Physical Engineering & Smart Textiles.
