The 2CAFES course is aimed at producing scientific knowledge to understand the influence of physical activity on human functional capacity and the repercussions of exercise on human health and on the various mechanisms associated with the development and/or prevention of chronic diseases in different dimensions, analysis, such as the biological, psychological and social dimensions.
Objectives
The objectives of the SC are:
- Raise the scientific, pedagogical and technical-professional qualification of graduates who intervene in sport and exercise practices for therapeutic purposes;
- Promote the acquisition of knowledge and the development of skills for the activity of research and production of new knowledge and / or to innovate, in complex situations, for which solutions are needed, in the face of limited or incomplete information.
- Provide knowledge and develop skills in organizing, planning, conducting, evaluating and controlling training processes aimed at developing physical fitness and / or mitigating functional limitations resulting from disabilities and / or chronic diseases;
- Provide knowledge and develop skills to coordinate teams of professionals different scientific/subject backgrounds in programs aiming health education and promotion of healthy lifestyles, and rehabilitation and prevention of chronic diseases.
